About Mecklenburg County Health Department Children's Dentistry Program

The Mecklenburg County Health Department Children’s Dentistry Program provides comprehensive dental care for uninsured and underinsured children ages 1-17 who are residents of Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. Services include:

  • Exams and cleanings
  • Fillings
  • Extractions
  • Sealants
  • Fluoride treatments
  • Root canals
  • Crowns
  • Dentures

The program also offers preventive education and fluoride varnish applications.

To be eligible for the program, children must meet the following requirements:

  • Be a resident of Mecklenburg County
  • Be uninsured or underinsured
  • Be ages 1-17
